I have a tendency to buy multiples of the same thing so that I don’t miss out. When I come home my husband always asks me what’s in the bag. I smile and say “nothing” and then run and hide my loot.

For me shopping is a stress reliever so whenever I am super stressed and I just got paid I will go to the mall and go in all of my favorite stores and try on things I know I shouldn’t and end up buying clothes for “just in case” moments. Such a bad habit but its so therapeutic. haha.

Via Shop It To Me, I spotted a BEAUTIFUL taupe taffeta dress from Banana Republic on sale for 80% off. The silhouette looked like it would be flattering. I felt like I hit the jackpot and because it was my birthday, there was no way I could talk myself out of it!

When it arrived, it was a little too snug, but I went online and spotted an even-better purple version with a bigger size available (wasn’t online before). As you know, Banana Republic clothes go fast online during their sales. I’m waiting for my exchange to arrive and I’m very excited! Shop it to Me really allows me to get the best bang for my buck :)

Going to Urban Outfitters’ sale section in San Francisco
and being determined to find a deal. At one point I was on all fours scouring through a pile of clothes on the floor! I was kind of embarrassed since my best friend was a bit taken aback!

I’m usually not a shopaholic and plan my purchases wisely (especially with the help of SitM) but once I get the urge to buy something, I have to do it. A few months ago, I was on the hunt for a beautiful trenchcoat. Went to all the department stores and boutiques all around San Francisco on the hunt. Nothing pleased me until I saw a Phillip Lim trench on Blaec and immediately (and impulsively) ordered it. Didn’t even try it on or know how it fit. But somehow I knew it was the right one. Best impulsive splurge ever!

Being a shopaholic and somewhat thrifty, I have collected a group of friends who work in retail mainly for the perks that come with it, i.e. getting advance notice about big sales, mooching off their employee discounts and friends & family events.

Sketchy? Perhaps. Worth it? Definitely!

Since discovering ShopItToMe there isn’t a morning I don’t wake up and come directly to my computer to find it before anyone else!! Ya right, I know that I’m on the west coast and all you other girls are way up ahead of me!! (eastcoast girls you know who I’m talking about!) And I know a hot item when I see it and yes when it says, “it sells out quickly” I’ve most likely missed out. So now my mission starts to find it! Yes I’m a SHOPAHOLIC!! That is why this movie was made for me!! Off to shop! Bye from Bellevue, Wa.

I tend to read jcrew catalogs over and over like books and memorize the items and prices. Then I go on Shop it to me and see what is on sale :) I have become an avid collector of clothes and treat my closet like the most important room in my apartment where I have my jcrew stuff organized by color.
I love living in the city because women here are so creative with clothing. I am always inspired by the fashion I see just walking around the city.

I am in San Francisco.

Whenever I see a SALE email including from shop-it-to-me, I ALWAYS buy something. Even when I don’t need to. If the price is good, and I like the stuff, I’ll buy it. I am sooo broke because of this Nov-Jan sales!

I’m in San Jose.

i think i’ve converted at least a dozen of my friends to shopittome – when we get into work in the morning, the first thing we’ll do is IM each other over what deals we saw. most recently, we were gushing over a top on sale at bloomies – and it just happened to be in both our sizes and we plan to wear it on our girls Vegas trip!!

12 Do { 01.31.09 at 12:06 pm }

Ilive to shop for bargins..If i find something i like i may tend to go to same store at another location to find it in different colors if they dont have it at the first store.Do whatever i can to make the buck last longer!! =)

Each morning, as I’m walking to work, I mentally go over each item of clothing I’m wearing… Dress: H&M, Trench Coat: Gryphon, Tights: DKNY, Heels: DVF, Earrings: well, you get the picture! It brightens my day & swear I picked up the habit before I saw the preview of Shopoholic, which I am absolutly dying to see!!

I love shopping. I go everyday 4-7 and I have kind of have a problem. I want to see this movie because It is so relatable to me and my fellow shopaholics. Shopping is so much fun, but I learned that it’s not what life is about and I think that this movies portrays this in the end. Although getting the latest Chanel clutch (I love the new spring ones…) is great, love, friendship, and happiness is more important. My best friend and I want to see this movie because: we love chic-flicks, we love shopping, and we can’t wait to get a peek of the latest trends! Shop it to me has helped me shop more things on sale, and it has shown me that you don’t need to go to the stores because they can always come to you!

16 Marnie { 01.31.09 at 5:33 pm }

I think my collection of Shopaholic moments began when I joined Shop It To Me. I regularly find items on sale that I nearly begged my boyfriend to buy me at full price as a present. Although the economy is at its worst in years, I can never resist purchasing the items that are full price in Saks, but at an almost forty percent discount online. It is safe to say that SITM has gotten me into some major trouble.

17 tianna { 01.31.09 at 6:57 pm }

shopittome changed my shopping habits completely – practically all of my ‘finds’ are now a result of shopittome, and it saves me a ton of time! thanks!

18 Abby { 01.31.09 at 7:22 pm }

I used to love wandering around stores hunting for bargains, but that’s just not realistic anymore given my hectic schedule. Shopittome provides that same sense of “bargain hunting” only in a much more time-efficient way. Yay for shopittome!

I always check my “Shop It To Me” in the morning on my shuttle ride into work. One time I was scrolling through the day’s sales offerings and my neighbor on the shuttle looked over my shoulder and said “Ohh, are those Citizens on sale?” I said yes and I sent her the link. It was a beautiful moment between shopaholics.

22 Chloe { 02.01.09 at 10:17 am }

My most recent, and favorite-so-far SITM buy, is my new Lacoste polo from Saks that was ridiculously on sale. It’s black too; not some crazy left-over color that nobody wanted therefore they had to mark it down. I don’t know why black was on sale, but instead of questioning it, I’m just enjoying wearing it all the more knowing I didn’t pay full price! Love it! :)

23 Dana { 02.01.09 at 10:44 am }

One of my biggest and best confession happens when I lay in bed hunting on the internet for great buys. My computer has been a gateway to designer clothing over the past year and has made my closet jealous among all my friends. I am proud of all the amazing deals I can get if I just search hard enough.

All the Shopaholic books are absolutely amazing and I’m dying to see the movie the day it comes out!

Shop It To Me! Ahh! Shoes are my soft spot and so are dresses. With these daily e-mails, I can get both for a reasonable price: they’re on sale! Before, I would have to hunt sites and when I find something that I liked, they wouldn’t have it in my size, but Shop It To Me, makes it so much easier to find what I like and finding that same item in a dept. store for regular price! Can’t wait to see the movie!!

My least favorite days of the week are Monday and Friday, because my office has morning meetings, and I tend to miss being able to click on my Shop It To Me emails right when I get them! I even hooked up a mirror on the side of my cubicle so I know when to minimize my shopping screen on my computer!

The first thing I do every morning is to check my SITM mail. I love picking out things and emailing them to my sisters and best girl friends. Also, even though I am a student with a very limited budget, if I find something on SITM that I want, I will find a way to get it – usually that means selling a school book in order to pay for it!!

A True Lable Whore,
My problem isn’t just buying things just because I had a bad day or I had to have that product. I shop when I’m sad, happy, angry, mellow, bored and on and on. 8 months ago I moved to San Francisco and I hadn’t noticed until I was packing that in the coarse of a 6 month period I had bought 17 black button down shirts and not just any shirts there was everything from ( Gucci, Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana,YSL to Alexander McQueen. Not only I forgot about them non of them were worned AND I completely forgot about them. Every single shirt still had the tags on them. That is a true shopaholic and yet I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. I do have to thank my sister for introducing me to SHOP IT TO ME. This way I shop and save.

There are so many great sales online! I’ve already done all my christmas shopping for Christmas 2009, and it’s only the beginning of February! I can’t resist a good deal!

35 Carla { 02.02.09 at 8:54 am }

I am a Stay at Home Mom, and during Christmas I went a little too crazy on all the sales…for my daughter. My baby is only 6 months old and she has tons of clothes!! I think if my husband saw her closet he would die.

I am in San Jose.

I found the perfect sweater through Shop It To Me, and bought it on sale! I wear it to work, out on the town, and to family gatherings. It’s my perfect wear-anywhere piece. Thanks!

37 Kim { 02.02.09 at 9:38 am }

All my friends want me to be their personal shopper. I always manage to find great stuff for a bargain. I am a mom of 3, but it is still fun to look good. A friend just shared SHOP IT TO ME and it is such a time saver not having to search for all the sales myself.

38 Kirtina { 02.02.09 at 10:06 am }

I am such shopaholic because desoite the fact that I am supposed to be saving for after I graduate, I blow my money at the mall everytime I go (which is often). I even went to all the San Jose Victoria’s Secrets (and Milpitas); as well as online, just to find all the bras, clothes and panties that I wanted! I even bought some reaally cute luggage, but the bad part is I have no money to go anywhere with it! I spent so much, that I had to do what I call “creative financing”, just to cover it, and now I have no money left for books for school (I’m a college student). Oh well, it was soooo worth it! “)

39 Kirtina { 02.02.09 at 10:07 am }

oh I forgot to say where I’m from. I’m from San Jose!!!

40 Alicia { 02.02.09 at 10:26 am }

If I even remotely like anything I try on – I buy it. Chances are that I will like it better at home. If I don’t I can always return it. I know if I leave it, I will never see the item or my size again and I will really regret it.

41 Ruby { 02.02.09 at 10:30 am }

I LOVE Shop It To Me. My policy is to never buy full price (unless it’s something I can’t live without!), so this is the perfect service for me! In fact, I have so many retailers on my list that my e-mails get “clipped” and I have to click on the little “View entire message” link!

Location: San Jose area.

42 Diana { 02.02.09 at 10:36 am }

Love the weekly newsletters! I use it to monitor the sale prices for the items I like…great for doing price adjustments…ha ha.

I recently spent $200 on Frye boots that another woman was thinking about purchasing. I overheard the sales woman telling her that they were the last pair in that color & size (which I wanted).

I heard her giving the sales girl her name so she could put them on hold. I waited patiently until said sales girl left with her purse, and I walked up to the counter and told them my name was Jenna, and I was here to purchase my Frye boots.

They are SO worth it.

Shopaholic!? That is me. Recently after having my job eliminated I bought Ugg Brooks Boots because they are discontinued and I needed new ones. We got a great deal on them through an online vendor.

Great blog!!

Sorry! I’m in Beaverton.

51 Kayla { 02.02.09 at 12:20 pm }

When Ugg’s first launched in the US, I had the last pair in Bloomingdale’s and after I tried them on, I put them back in the box to go and pay for them and someone else picked them up and started to try them on. I got into a screaming match with this person who was buying a pair of boots for his wife, and didn’t care if they were Uggs or not. Needless to say, I won and my feet were nice and warm all winter.

I am addicted to Sales! I have an entire bookmarks folder of shopping sites on my computer. I will scroll through them daily to check on the current sales. If there is something not in my size, I try to find a friend who it will fit and buy it for them! I buy gifts in advance and save them for birthdays and other occasions to come up!

My absolute downfall is handbags. My latest indulgence is a gorgeous Kooba bag on sale. It was originally $645 which I could never pay but got it for under $225. I watched – OK maybe stalked a girl in the store carrying it around for awhile until she put it back. It was the last one so I grabbed it as fast as I could. Of course now I need a new wallet!

57 Jennie { 02.02.09 at 2:03 pm }

Just like in the book….I rationalize EVERY purchase. If there is something to buy…I can always find a reason why I need it.. even though I don’t have money!

Here are my top FIVE RATIONALIZATIONS…

A sweater dress, jacket, and top from Triple Five Soul Sample Sale in NYC…

(To my husband, because I lost my ATM card)
“This is a sample sale so everything is discounted, so
I will actually be saving money by buying this here.”

A shopping spree at Valley Fair…

I just took my comprehensive exam and studied for three
long months…so I need to make up for three months of
not shopping, plus I deserve it after all that
studying!

Pair of Paige Jeans, a Split Purse, and an American Rag top…

I had a gift card for $50 so I only had to pay a few
hundred more. So, I decided that it was worth it
because if I used a credit card…I would get airline
miles! This would save me money in the long run!

Airline tickets to New York for $150 round trip:

Common now…$150 Round trip??!! It would be a sin to
not buy them! Plus, I had a place to stay…so the trip
practically pays for itself!

A palate of MAC shadows, brushes, and cream shadow…

Well, if you want to do makeup, you have to have good
products to do it well! So, I need to get everything!
Plus, I need the palate because buying the refills are
cheaper!

So…bottom line, there is always a reason to get what you want!

I went to the Obama Inauguration this past month. I was so worried about what to wear that I bought 3 ball gowns, 7 pairs of shoes, and toted 3 suitcases on the plane. In the end I didn’t wear half of it, but how can you not be prepared for the president of the United States?

61 Natalie { 02.02.09 at 3:44 pm }

I could probably go on for hours about my shopoholicism.
However the one story that comes to mind is when I use to criticize wives when they would say they hide what they buy to avoid their significant others scorn. I always thought that was ridiculous. THEN I moved in with my boyfriend he’s trying sooo hard to help me get out of debt and he’s biggest thing is, if I help you then you need to stop spending money… BUT I am a shopoholic so this was not going to be good for me. I feel bad but since we’ve moved in I keep telling him that the new pairs of shoes, work clothes, and home decor all come from gifts that my family gives me cause they love and miss me that much. He totally believes me, but now it’s starting to backfire. He is planning on telling my family that they need to stop buying me things because what I need is to get rid of my debt and not get new pairs of shoes. Basically I take back anything I said about women who hide merchandize from their husbands because now I completely understand!!!!

As much as it pains me to confess I will admit that even after months of holiday shopping mayhem, before my credit card bills had even had a chance to start finding their way into my mailbox, I did the unthinkable…I went shopping! First thing Monday, January 5th at 7 A.M.ON MY WAY TO WORK I found myself fully embarked on an all out Victoria’s Secret Sale shopping extravaganza. As I emerged from the frenzy of pink lace and padded push-ups, shopping bags in hand, and my wallet somewhat lighter I felt what can only be described as post-shopping guilt!

Shopping does wonders for me. When I’m sad… I shop. When I’m bored… I shop. When I’m excited… I shop. Whatever the mood is… I will always like to shop. And sometimes when I randomly walk around a mall, I find the BEST deals for my most favorite finds. And if I find something that I REALLY love… I’ll buy multiples. They could be in different colors or even in the same color if I think I can get good use out of it. Like my favorite pair of black heels for work… I’ve gone through multiple pairs already.

Tagless finds in the clearance racks are a great way to get a great deal… I find the staff are often happy to sell it to you for he price of a similar item, and often it’s the best way for me to get a deal on a hard-to-find size.

Plus did you know that some online stores are sharing their deals on Twitter? Real time notifications let me jump on the best deals quickly.

I love shoes. Went to pay a bill, but I was in the shoe department. I decided not to look around and on my way out, the customer service rep asked me if I had checked out the shoes. I gave a prompt response of no and that I wasn’t interested. She countered with a clearance of 40% off with an additional 40% off. To say the least I walked out with two beautiful pair of designer shoes for a steal.

I realized i was a shop-a-holic when after my first child was born, i bought some 7 jeans 2 weeks after birth determined to get into them because they were on sale. I also once had to call a friend to help me out of a dress in a fitting room when the zipper got stuck and i couldn’t pull it back over my head. So many great shopping moments. I justify shopping by using it to calm, organize, and it being my “happy place”! Can’t wait to see the movie.

Shopping is the ultimate in therapeutic stress relief! I love meandering through shops and examining everything in sight – particularly when I come across really good deals. Even when things may be a bit rough at work, I can always feel like I’ve conquered the world when I come home with an epically fabulous find.

Not only do I shop online all the time, but I work for an online clothing retailer… you can probably guess that I shop ALL the time, whether at home or at work. But it’s part of my job, so I guess I have to!

When I find an item of clothing that has a great shape or cut that fits me PERFECTLY – I buy every color/design it comes in! There is a BCBG mini dress with the perfect cut for my body – I have 7 of them!!! Patricular cut of Joe Jeans that fit just right – 9 pairs!!! Don’t get me started on makeup…I seem to pick items that wind up being discontinued so now when i buy an item I buy an additional 4 to ge safe!!

SitM is genius because I never get disappointed when I spot an item on sale only to discover that it’s no longer in my size! I’ve been to FOUR weddings in the past 3 months, all my dresses were found in my salemails, plus a few extras because I couldn’t decide…but hey- they were all on sale!

I loooove shopping; from clothing to shoes to accessories- I LOVE ‘EM ALL!! I shop everyday because i just love everything about it. The smell of new clothing right as you are trying them on, my fellow shoppers and giving them tidbits and hints on a good bargain, the waiting in line and finally able to purchase the suff is just fulfilling. Shopping is my pasion, my religion. I would be lost without it! I have so much clothes now that i put ‘em in bags and stuff ‘em in closets. I just can’t give ‘em up!! I love shopping so much that i have a second job just so that i am able to compensate for all the shopping that i do everyday. I know that you might be in disbelief but i truly am a SHOPAHOLIC!!

The most horrific time I had in the fitting room was when I was on vacation trying on a super cute, ruffled summer dress. The dress had no zipper, but I managed to get it on me. I loved the fit and was set on purchasing the dress until I couldn’t GET IT OFF! There was no way it would lift off through my shoulders. I tried and tried- tugging, pulling for over 10 minutes!- I thought they would need to cut it off me or I’d have to walk out of the store with it on! I was red, bruised, and sweating.. Until finally! I managed it yank it down my hips and thighs! Sore as I was- Good God, that was such a relief! Ladies, don’t ever try on a tight dress w/out a zipper!

As a college student I have no money but that doesn’t really stop me from buying anything fashionable. As I’m sitting in chem class instead of doing the calculations I calculated how much I was wearing. Sadly, it totaled out to $400, mind you I was simply wearing jeans, t-shirt and hoodie. The craziness of my shopaholic tendencies.

I buy so many clothes that cashiers actually believe that I’m shopping for another person in addition to myself. My philosophy is to buy anything that looks good on me, fortunately for me that adds up to a lot of stuff! I’m an emotional shopper, I shop whenever I’m happy or sad it calms my nerves. When I’m bored at home I shop online, if I’m at a mall I have to buy something or else I feel guilty!

I am a sucker for good deals, but then again who isn’t. Right? I find myself buying something every single time I go to the mall, and let’s just say that the mall has become my second home. No one would have every guessed that I am really REALLY broke because of all the new stuff I always have. I guess that’s the life of a shop-aholic.

S.I.T.M. is so awesome! I’m quilty as charge, I admit it, I’m a shopaholic. The biggest damage I’ve ever done was using my company’s credit card to buy shoes online, BiG NO NO! They found out once our monthly credit card reconciliation was due. Oh well, I was able to keep the shoes, but not my job. Hehehe!

I am a compulsive shoppaholic. For me, shopping is instant gratification. You spot something, fork over the money, and afterwards it feels sooo great. And it feels even better when you’re home with your product, trying it on, and look so good in it. Shopping is a very healthy, but sometimes detrimental (to your bank account anyway) habit.

I am from San Jose but currently live in San Francisco. I commute back and forth between both.

102 Gerry { 02.03.09 at 8:41 pm }

I too am broke but you would never guess it from my wardrobe! Just about every month, after I pay my rent and all my bills, my bank account is nearly wiped out. But…as soon as I get my shop it to me email, I somehow find a way to make a purchase! My friends think I am ridiculous, yet they are SO jealous of my fabulous wardrobe :-)

Shopaholic? Well, let’s just say that the UPS truck knows it’s own way to my door! The UPS guy knows me by name and I live in San Francisco, not a small town. I grab my boxes (while my 3 dogs bark their heads off and try to nip the UPS man) and stash my boxes in my closet, lest anyone see I’ve been at it again! And when I am alone and I rip those boxes of beautiful clothes open, voila! Pure joy before I even try them on!

105 Kelli { 02.04.09 at 8:47 am }

Every day I race to work so that I can open my email and see what deals are in store. It is the first email that I open and while I’m reading it in my head I’m planning on what I need to order for the next weekend full of nights out of the town. The mail room staff know my name by heard because they are always having to contact me to tell me that I have a package. It is so exciting getting clothes and accessories sent to you at work. It brightens up every day!!! I live in San Francisco.

106 Kristen { 02.04.09 at 9:11 am }

Each Morning I wake up to get ready for work, and I go online to look at the new things for the day on Elle, Style, Daily Candy, Trendy Tidbits, you get the point. I end up buying at least one thing every day. By the end of the month, I wonder, where has my paycheck gone? But atleast I look hot in all of my new clothes.

107 Stacey { 02.04.09 at 9:30 am }

I’d walk through downtown San Francisco chatting with my husband and all of a sudden in mid-sentence, I’d stop talking and walk into a store if I saw something I liked. He sometimes doesn’t know what’s happening and has to look for me to see where I’ve gone. I’ve already disappeared to find the rack that had the dress in the window and then to try it on. Within 5-10 minutes, I’ve bought the dress and finally finished my sentence from before as if nothing else happened.

Since subscribing to Shopittome. I have been a real online shopping shop-a-holic to say the least. Its so hard to pass up such good deals!! There is nothing better than coming home at the end of ur work day to a bunch of packages that UPS delivered. However my family says its kinda embarrassing because they are now on a first name basis with the UPS driver and the driver even brings treats to our cats!!!

Shopping is a sport. It’s bigger than the Superbowl. You have to study the play book.
( i.e. Your favorite fashion magazine.) Research the competition. (i.e. Other people wanting to buy what you want. And lastly go for the win.(Finding the item in your size.) And as a added bonus the victory dance in the in-zone. (When you find out the item is on sale.) Now that shopping!

I love to look at all the stores sales and ads online that I subscribe to. Lately I don’t have much play money to buy clothes so I have been drooling and oooing and ahhhing over things. I love to find jeans and buy several pairs. I have a handful of favorite designers. Unfortunately that list keeps growing……. I love a chic look think new york but with some quirky lil flair to it. I love classic looks and classic colors but throw in hot pink or something.

I love great deals and I’ll wake up at 4 in the morning if that’s what it takes to get it. This urge just comes over me when I see something on sale, whether or not it’s for me, I just have to buy it. Sometime it’s uncontrollable. Last week, I couldn’t sleep so I was browsing online. I saw this great deal on dell, and I bought myself a dell pc. I was so happy with my purchase that I went straight to bed with a smile on my face.

Hi, my name is Alexandra and I’m a Shop it to me-aholic!

Yes, I will confess. I hope my mom doesn’t see this! Just last week I lost my job. And what did I do right after I left the office? Well, I though I would just browse the nearby mall before I head home. I ended up with 1 $22.95 tub of Lush shaving cream that the sales associate said I just HAD to have! (I don’t even use shaving cream.) I came home with 2 adorable baby knit sweaters that were on sale. Yes, I am single and don’t know anyone having a baby anytime soon, but hey they were such a great price! And last but not least I bought a new coffee maker and this amazing set of sexy underwear! A week later, where is it all? It’s got to be somewhere around here.

Well as for me and co-workers at work almost everyday one of us have to go to the store to buy something during our lunch hour. Then the other person will tag along regardless if we need something or not. I tend to be the one in the office that everyone will come to and say what store are you going today just in case they want to go or place a order. My co-worker saw the previews of movie and told me right away both of us have to go see this movie. Just signed up to Shopitome so lets see how I do with that.

I love to shop so much but I really need to curb my spending so sometimes when I’m just out browsing, I only bring a limited amount of cash with me. What happens is I am either scrounging for loose change in order to get what I want or I have to run home to get my credit cards to go back and get what I WANT… if I can’t put it on hold! :-)

I just signed up for Shop It To Me and I can’t beleive I didn’t do it sooner! What a great find. The idea of having a virtual personal shopper is genius. I am on the verge of making my first purchase…now if I could only decide between three coats!

126 Melissa R { 02.05.09 at 4:52 pm }

I sometimes wish I wasn’t introduced to online shopping…

It’s a blessing and a curse because you find better deals, and you find better deal you can’t pass up!

Example – I got my Shop It To Me email and browsed thru the items, but I stumbled upon this adorable Steve Madden sandals, even though I had two similar pairs.

I absolutely could not resist because I didn’t see this style but it was a steal. I bought it instantly and I love it. Still wear them even though the weather’s not up to par.

Shop It To Me is right up there with chocolate – utterly addictive. Yes, I have a problem. Though not as bad as Becky Bloomwood, my co-workers jokingly threaten to look into rehab for “my online shopping addiction”.

Is it my fault that it’s just too easy to spy something you want and buy it? The office manager is constantly emailing me that “another package” is waiting for me at the front desk.

Such is the life for a self-professed certifiably addicted online shopaholic.

At an early age, I was taught to negotiate because the country of origin (Philippines) that my parents are from henever you always haggle for a cheaper price. Its called “make tawad”. My fiancee didn’t understand why I had to bargain for a cheaper prices when we were shopping abroad… I said its the principal of knowing you can pay less! You are expected to do it, almost like a sport… you just have to master the “walk-away”. :-)

129 Joanne D. { 02.06.09 at 12:38 pm }

I, Joanne is a Shopaholic. I wish they had meetings for it like AA. I think it would be called SA. I can’t help that my parents raised me to love shopping. Growing up if I got good grades or anything good from cleaning my room to helping my mom clean, she would use shopping as a reward. So now I do the same, except I reward myself everyday! From buying a Venti coffee instead of my typical Tall drink from Starbucks, because upgrading is always a good thing; to buying a new coat, just because I was cold that day, and I forgot my jacket at home, and the mall is just down the street from my work. Believe me give me $1 and I will buy something with it.

Sometimes I convince myself to buy things for someone else just to make myself feel good that I’m buying someone else something and just not myself. Like for my dog or my boyfriend.

And Shop It To Me is a gift and a curse because I’m on it daily forwarding stuff to my boyfriend or mom to buy me things, when I just end up buying something for myself. LOL!!

Where do i begin, i have so many great times to share but i think the best one is the day of my marriage i decided i had two hours before i needed to be anywhere and thought i would go to the mall and still could make my hair and makeup appointment, but when i got carried away shopping as usual i missed both appointments not realizing the time and just barely made it to my wedding on time. you know its bad if it almost messes up the biggest day of your life. :) ))) i know its an addiction, but i love it

132 Shirl { 02.07.09 at 5:00 am }

I can go nearly hours shopping for cute stuff to wear. I especially love bargains and end up with bags and bags of items. Recently, I bought over 14 pairs of shoes. Some were the same but I couldn’t pass it up. In hindsight, I probably should have purchased only 6 pairs.
