Recently we commented on Alexander McQueen’s creepy foot stilettos. Long to see more high-end but unsightly footwear? Look no further than Martin Margiela’s split-toe shoes. They’ve been receiving a lot of attention lately since they were spotted on SJP. Margiela modeled them after Japanese tabi shoes. The shape of the shoes is said to have health benefits.
If the $775 cost is out of your price range, you might consider purchasing actual tabi shoes. They’re all the ugly, but at a fraction of the price — a steal for $25.95. (And you can use them for martial arts – bonus!)
These are the ugliest shoes I have ever seen in my life! What are these people thinking? There is sure a ton of crazy fashion out there and I agree, if you’re going to get shoes this ugly, you should get the cheap ones; ha!
Even $25.95 is way too much to pay for ugly. If I want ugly of that magnitude it has to be less than $10.00.

I got excited when I quickly glanced at the photo in this post – thought Shop It To Me was going to start a Surfing category – these shoes look identical to surf booties! Does this mean it’s ok for me to wear my surf booties as regular footwear? Something tells me my girlfriend is going to say no on that one….
