The Stuff of Dreams: Downscale Designer Wishlist
How amazing would it be if you were the one who picked what designers did downscale lines for Target and H&M?
In the spirit of affordable fashion for all, some of us ladies at Shop It To Me have eached picked a label we’re dying to see featured. Girls can dream, right? So here it is — our all-star designer wishlist!:

Nicole’s pick: I would love to see a Herve Leger by Max Azria design for Target or H&M. The classic bandage dress has been mimicked unsuccessfully by many, and it would be amazing to gain access to this brand at affordable prices, plus the summer colors are beautiful!

Laura’s pick: I would freak if Marni did a line for H&M. I am obsessed with the brand! Their amazing heels and unique, chunky accessories at an affordable price would make me a VERY happy girl.

Tamra’s pick: Rodarte! Love love love their beautiful shapes, dramatic/romantic styles, fitted silhouettes, and use of asymmetry and waves. I’m obsessed with the dress Natalie Portman wore to the Oscars this year! Bonus — the two young designer sisters behind this line (Kate & Laura Mulleavy, ages 28 and 30) went to nearby Berkeley for college!

Natalie’s pick: I love everything RM by Roland Mouret. The brand manages to make silhouettes that look geometric but feminine at the same time. If these clean, modern creations were at all affordable, I’d buy them up like candy.

not familiar with Marni — where is it sold?
Donna Karan, Dana Buchman or Eileen Fisher. I’m one of the zillion moms-over-35 that shops at Target and I would love to see sophisticated clothing cut for my perimenopausal figure.
Ohhh, I would love Marc Jacobs!
Mint by Jodi Arnold and Alice+Olivia would be my picks. And… oh, Jean Paul Gaultier! That would be fabulous!
Miley Cyrus just made an announcement today about her collaboration with BCBG for a tween fashion line for Wal-Mart, a “Miley Cyrus & Max Azria” label:

All I can say is: NOT FAIR! I wish Max Azria would reach out to those with a little less money in their wallets — but maybe 5-10 years older than Miley’s tween audience!
Max Azria has lines at Walmart
Oscar Freaking de la Renta. Oh man!
