A Movie Review -- "The Proposal"

Natalie, Vivian, and I went to see “The Proposal” advanced screening this week in San Francisco with some of our Shop It To Me subscribers.  Entering the film, we thought it would be just another run-of-the-mill romantic comedy/chick flick – but we actually really enjoyed it! Our expectations were definitely surpassed.

We had a ton of laugh-out-loud moments involving super-chic New Yorker Sandra Bullock visiting rural Alaska to meet Ryan Reynolds’ family.   And those of you in the corporate/fashion/advertising world will appreciate entertaining scenes in the NYC publishing office where Sandra played the unsympathetic and utterly terrifying boss. While there were a few too many outrageous moments, and the movie was a tad long for our tastes (only so much silly comedy a girl can handle!), we recommend this if you’re looking for a lighthearted, fun evening out.

Not to mention — the fashion! Sandra rocked Louis Vuitton luggage, great accessories, and some mighty fine Louboutin heels. Her shiny red soles were flashing all over the place! And Ryan– our hearts swooned at his adorableness. In real life, he’s definitely one lucky man to have captured Scarlett Johansson, but she didn’t do so shabby herself!

So get out there and see “The Proposal” when it hits theaters on June 19th — or better yet, if you’re in Northern California, get your free advanced tickets on us!
