Gap Inc. Brands Stirring Things Up

A few of the Gap family brands are up to some interesting things these days:

Old Navy is offering $2 tanktops on this Saturday June 20th only!  (Limit 5 per person)  Apparently the $1 flip flops of the past must have been a hit, and they are moving on.  I can say that I own these too, and they are indeed the most versatile tops around.  Can wear them to work out, sleep in, or with jeans or casual pants on the weekend, or even with a flouncy skirt.  A great steal!

Gap** brand launched “Designer Editions” today with a limited selection of items online, and in limited stores across the nation. Collaborating with CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America), the pieces in this line are designed by names such as Alexander Wang and Vena Cava. Something to go check out!

And Banana Republic launched an Accessories-only store, called Edition, in San Francisco.  I had the opportunity to check it out a few weeks ago, and it really is quite beautiful items.  With most of the pieces under $100, there were some great affordable finds.  Unique jewelry that isn’t offered in the regular Banana Republic stores, along with a selection of shoes, scarves, and handbags.
