2. Dolman: Not sure, but I can guarantee it’s ugly.

All I have without cheating is ‘Bolero.’ That’s a short jacket that only covers the boobs.

A Jersey Fringe Convertible is a jersey (ie single knit) tube scarf that is advertised as something that can be converted into a top, dress, or skirt. It could also be a dickey, a single leg warmer, a jump rope, or an excessive scrunchy. It could also be called ‘Cheap Ass Tube With Fringe and Some Elastic Thrown On.’ It is easy to sew for less than the twenty bucks they are asking for it. Besides, if you sewed it you could make it out of silk jersey, which is is a much better choice for a jersey dress.
An anorak used to be the kind of jacket worn by tragically dorky English boys, but they have recently been reinvented as very cute jackets for fashionable girlies (see DEREK LAM).
A dolman sleeve is a sleeve that is cut on to the bodice and joined at the shoulder seam. It can be a floppy batwing sleeve or a slim short sleeved t-shirt. It will give anyone who wears over a b-cup a horrible armpit-boob appearance, because it forces a huge wrinkle from your armpit to your side-boob since the sleeve is not set in to the armscye. Be warned, y’all.
Stovepipes are skinny trousers or jeans. They have been made new and fantastic by Hedi Slimane at Dior. They best suit gentlemen who are Mick-Jaggerish in proportion. They best suit ladies seldom if ever.
Bolero is a silly piece of music by Ravel, an embarrassing movie starring Dudley Moore, and also is a kind of little jacket. If you have a long torso they make you look as if you found a cookie frosted with the word EAT ME and grew several sizes since geting dressed this morning. If you are petite and adorable they will make you look even moreso.

Many thanks…..Cindi
An anorak is a heavy coat or a parka that usually has a hood on it, too. It’s french for parka:) I love a cute anorak with some dark tights and cool, architectual heels. Or you could play off the “French-ness” of it and pair it with super skinny black pants and flats. C’est tres chic, oui??
A dolman sleeve is a sleeve that’s cut wide and long from the same piece as the body of the dress, shirt, jacket or whatever. It’s also called a batwing sleeve since it looks sort of webbed like a bat’s wing. I love the shosanna dandelion eyelet dolman dress featuring a slight dolman sleeve. Way prettier then a bat wing, in my opinion.
