American Apparel’s New Promotion: Bad@$$ or Asinine?
Want your derriere to grace the next American Apparel ad? The retailer is “on the hunt for the best bottom in the world!”.
If there was anyone out there who felt American Apparel’s promotions weren’t risqué enough before, perhaps the new campaign will change your mind. The retailer is hosting a hot-or-not style poll on their website where eager bum model hopefuls can post pictures of their rear, outfitted in American Apparel clothing, to be rated and commented on by viewers. The top 10 contestants will each win an American Apparel gift bag worth $300 and be eligible to become an American Apparel fanny model. (Mind you, even the top-rated contestant is not guaranteed a spot.)
What do you think of the new American Apparel campaign? (Warning — you’ll see a lot of rumps.) Should critics butt out, or is it asinine?

You would think with all the negative press Dov Charney has gotten questioning his perverted interest in young girls this would not be the best marketing campaign to launch…ever! But with his history I suppose it was only to be expected in a matter of time.
Thanks for sharing. Very helpful!
