We’re very excited to welcome an awesome new addition to the Shop It To Me team… meet ALICE! She’s a fun-loving Ohio native who loves nature hikes, watching movies, wine tasting, trying foodie hot spots, and of course shopping! She’s the perfect fit, right?!

Alice is a fan of anything Garfield (yes, the cat), and loves spending the paychecks at places like Zara, Sephora, H&M, and Express! She plays the violin, piano, guitar, clarinet, and erhu… talk about talent. And what’s on her bucket list, you ask? She wants to go skydiving, bungee jumping, scuba diving, and travel to Australia one day to pet a koala. Told you she was fun-loving!

Meet Anthony, the newest member of the Shop It To Me team. Since he provided such eloquent responses to all my questions I will forgo the paraphrasing and give you his real words.

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Michigan but in the last 13 years I’ve lived in Hungary, Austria, California, North Carolina, Austria again, and finally California again.  I first visited San Francisco when I was 15 and fell in love with the city, choosing to move here from Austria because I think it offers the best quality of life of any city in the US.

What are your hobbies?
Traveling, drums, fitness/nutrition, snowboarding, and electronic music

Do you have any hidden talents?
3-ball juggling, though nothing too fancy  That, and abilities in German, Spanish, Farsi, and Hungarian.

What excited you most about joining Shop It To Me?
I love finding a good deal on clothes so naturally, the nature of SITM’s service appealed to me.  In terms of an engineering challenge, I wanted to be in a small(-ish) Rails shop with fellow top-notch engineers where my contributions would be seen by scores of passionate users and I could have an impact for years to come.

Here at Shop It To Me we’ve been very busy in the last couple of months–we launched Shop It To Me UK, redesigned our website, and continue to bring stylish bargains to your inbox at your convenience. In order to keep up with all the excitement, our headquarters staff continues to grow (and we’re still hiring!).  We’d love to introduce our latest team additions to you:

Vivian recently moved to San Francisco from Boston and has been busy furnishing her house ever since. Her favorite places to shop in the Boston area are Tannery and Dress (readers: Vivian has great style, so definitely go check these out!) and she recently came back from her honeymoon in Indonesia! Her biggest pet peeve is when blogs fail to give you spoiler alerts. Vivian has a special message for all of our Shop It To Me users: “I’m excited to join the team as a product manager aka professional online shopper. To all the SITM fans, I welcome your feedback. Let me know how I can help make your shopping experience better.”

Rahul just joined the team as an engineering intern and in his spare time enjoys eating vegan food, playing tennis, and going for runs around San Francisco. He is proficient in Hindi and knows all the capitals of every country in the world! He’s excited to be working at Shop It To Me because “I not only get to learn technical skills from our amazing engineers, but I become more and more fashionable each day!”

Laura is an MBA student at Berkeley who enjoys running, yoga, cooking, skiing and reading. She loves to shop at J.Crew, Dish (SF boutique), Saks, Barneys, and Books Inc. Her most exotic travel destination to date is Kakamega, Kenya and she compares herself to George Clooney in Up in the Air–she hates slow people at the airport!

Neil just joined the engineering team and since his arrival has already learned much more about women’s clothing sizes than he ever could have imagined. His favorite travel destination is Paris, France, however, he is fluent in Spanish. Aside from his uncanny knowledge of computers he also has the amazing ability to wiggle both his ears and his eyebrows!

Happy HAPPY birthday to Tamra! Without her Shop It To Me would not be the fashion haven it is today, and our blog would be much less awesome. So let’s count our lucky stars and raise a glass to Tamra on her special day!

She’s recently set off on a new adventure to live in the Big Apple, so we thought, as a fun way to celebrate via blog (and pretend we’re in NY ourselves to eat cake with her!), we’d share a few things that make us think of New York City!

Christine is a smart, sushi-loving college student, and a huge fan of bandage-style dresses from the likes of Herve Leger. Her favorite movie is A Walk to Remember, and in her free time Christine loves to swim, stay active, and rock out to Taylor Swift!

You may remember Nicole and her fabulous blog posts from last year, and we’re thrlled to have her back this summer! Her favorite brands are Joie, Pour La Victoire, & Michael Kors, and she loves the song 40 Day Dream by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. In her free time Nicole loves to shop, take pictures, and hang at the beach!

The rumors have been confirmed — British retailer ASOS is now available on Shop It To Me! It just appeared in Salemail this morning. We love ASOS for their women’s and men’s celebrity-inspired clothing and accessories at decidedly un-celebrity prices.
