Overall, we thought the fashion from last night’s Oscars was pretty fantastic! But while many stars looked dazzling, what fun would it be if we didn’t choose favorites? Here are the looks we’re really loving from the 2010 Academy Awards:

We love the eclectic look of mixing prints. (How amazing was Shopbop’s “Print on Print” spring lookbook?) Taylor Swift definitely seems to have embraced the style, pairing a striped dress with Free People patterned tights.
We were delighted when Taylor’s adorable chevron tights showed up in Salemail! They come in 2 equally eye-catching colors – great for adding some extra interest to a printed ensemble.
Though the red carpet looks from last night’s Grammy Awards were less impressive than we’d hoped, there were still a handful of designs that caught our eye. We noticed a few risk-takers (Lady Gaga, Ciara, and Britney Spears, to name a few), and to our disappointment a few more who played it entirely too safe. Really, can you imagine a better opportunity to get dolled up and flaunt some funky fashion?

While catching up on re-runs of The City over the weekend, I couldn’t help admiring the adorable bag Whitney Port was toting all over Manhattan. This studded leather masterpiece is so very “now”, it’s hard to imagine it isn’t on back-order, let alone that it’s on sale!

In my opinion, the best part of any awards show is undeniably on the red carpet. The pre-show beats any drama (ahem, Kanye) that happens once the stars file in and take their seats.
