What’s better than a Zac Posen outfit? You may be answering “nothing” to this question in your head…

It’s true – there are very few things that have equivalent impact in the fashion world. Only problem is Zac’s creations typically range around $1000 and up (way up). Until now! Introducing Z Spoke – a sporty and affordable line designed by Mr. Posen himself, which is being sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue. The best part? Prices start at just $78!

Here are a few looks we’re loving from the collection:

From Left: Crocheted Sweater with Poplin Tie-front Blouse, Matte Silk Judith Dress with Obi Belt, & Double Knit Curve Dress

It’s been a big year. As we say “goodbye” to 2009 we can’t help but reminisce a bit. We’ve added new features and brands, had fun with contests and giveaways on our blog, and so much more! Here are a few Shop It To Me highlights from the past year…

Finished your Salemail and still want more? Shop It To Me introduced Sale Spot in February – perfect for when you need to buy something specific, right that minute.

Movie lovers and Fashionistas united when Shop It To Me gave away tickets to the “Confessions of a Shopaholic” premiere.

In April, we introduced Trendsetter Thursdays! And how we have come to love these weekly guest post from our Shop It To Me Trendsetters. Our blog wouldn’t be the same without them!

We gave away tickets to the advanced screening of “The Proposal” – the romantic comedy with Ryan Renolds and Sandra Bullock (who rocked Louis Vuitton luggage, great accessories, and some mighty fine Louboutin heels).

Shop It To Me had some killer coverage, including a feature on NBC Philadelphia, an article in the Wall Street Journal, and a segment on “How to Fake Being Rich” on the Today Show!

Some of our awesome giveaways included a Marc Jacobs bag, an iPhone, another MJ bag, and Christian Louboutins (or a $500 gift card for the guys).

In July, we added Sunglasses as a new category. From Oliver Peoples to Tom Ford, you can now find the hottest designer shades in your Salemail!

Tamra got married! If you missed them, be sure to check out the gorgeous photos from when her and her husband, Ron, tied the knot back in August here!

Not only did we add dozens of new brands to our ever-growing list, but we partnered with some awesome retailers this year as well! You can now browse sales from The Outnet, C&C California, Neiman Marcus, and many more!

So many brands to choose from! We added Personalized Designer Suggestions for our female subscribers, recommending brands to you based on picks from others with a similar sense of fashion.

Shop It To Me introduced “New On The Scene”, adding a stellar new site or chic boutique to Salemail each week.

We had our Battle of the Brands contest, with 5 rounds pitting pairs of brands against each other and hundreds of votes. The winner (drumroll please) – BCBG!

And lets not forget our Black Friday and Cyber Monday special edition Salemails featuring the hottest deals around!

It’s been an exciting year, alright. But the fun doesn’t stop with the end of the decade! Stay tuned for even more 2010 excitement.

XOXO,

Your Friends at Shop It To Me

New Years Eve is so close I can almost taste it. And with that perfect pair of stilettos comes…limping at the end of the night. Since comfy-shoe vending machines don’t seem to be hitting the US yet, some prior planning is required to save your toes from the long walk home.

The latest option? Packing a pair of Tieks. They’re billed as “full-time flats that fit in your purse”. Prices start at $110, but what’s more — they’re on sale. Right now they’re 30% off with code “TakeTieks”. They come in lots of different colors and actually look cute enough to wear even without a shoe emergency!

We’d love to share some highlights from this weekend’s shopping frenzy.

In a Shop It To Me analysis of over 25,000 sale items each from Black Friday/Cyber Monday this year and last, results show:

  • Shoppers are scoring bigger deals this year!  Both Black Friday and Cyber Monday discounts were bigger this year than last (47% off this year, compared to 43.5%-off on Black Friday and CyberMonday last year).
  • This year, online-only retailers were the most promotional, even more so than last year. Department stores, however, tapered off their discounts significantly.
    • This year, online-only retailers offered the biggest discounts (nearly 50%-off) compared to their department store counterparts (38-39% off) and single store brands (44-45% off).
    • Last year, the story was different — with department stores offering the biggest discounts (45-47% off) compared to online-only retailers (44% off) and single store brands (40-41% off).

…Food for thought for the remainder of the holiday season!

While the malls and parking lots are crazy across the nation, many of us find pleasure in shopping while in PJs, still overly stuffed from last night’s Thanksgiving feast.  I happen to be one of them!

Today, I’m using the Shop It To Me Sale Spot to sift through the many many deals that online retailers are offering.  Shop It To Me has done the work, and identified well over 27,000 items from across the web that are on sale.

BlackFridayHeader

By viewing your personal Sale Spot, you’ll instantly have access to all these offers.  We’ve included promotional and free shipping codes where applicable (underneath each retailer bar), and provided you the ability to filter by price, brand, or retailer.  Best part is that the items you see are all in your size, and from your favorite brands!

Here’s a rundown on just a handful of the many sales:

Shopbop.com – Choose your deal! $50 off orders of $300+, $100 off $500+, or $150 off $700+. Use code GIFT4U at checkout. See site for details. (Expires 11/30).

Don’t feel badly if you order a few items for yourself when you are shopping for gifts this holiday season.

Our just-completed Holiday Shopping Trends survey revealed that you aren’t the only one. In fact, 82% of the 8000 respondents to the survey told us they plan on buying something for themselves this holiday season while they are buying gifts for others.

Survey respondents also told us that, while they are opening their wallets a bit wider than last year, they are still looking for bargains. Here are a few of the other survey findings:

• Two-thirds of men and half of women say there’s nothing for which they will pay full price. But, among those who will pay full-prices, shoes and boots come in at the top of the “splurge” list.

• Shipping charges are not popular: 80% of shoppers refuse to pay more than $10 for shipping and 20% expect shipping to be free.

• The majority of shoppers say they avoid gift wrap charges by ordering items shipped unwrapped and then wrapping themselves before giving.
