There are two main things to consider when it comes to fall/winter boots: appearance and comfort. Julie from I Heart Heels is here to share a few picks that will have you looking stylish and staying warm! Check out the girl’s guide to looking fabulous – from heels to hairspray.
I love boots – they’re one of my favorite things about fall. Warm and cozy chic. Ahhhh. There is always a new boot trend, and this fall a few of my must-haves are rain boots, shearling and wedges. Combine them? Even better!
I just bought this pair of black wellies by Kate Spade last week, the Randi ($125). And now I can’t wait until it rains so I can try them over my black jean leggings – totally sleek and chic in the rain. They even have a heel (natch), and the bow detail is so Kate Spade, no? Girly and practical, these will def keep you warm in the rain.
I l-o-v-e the wedge on the Juicy Couture Dagmar bootie ($325), and the chocolate suede is oh-so-pretty. Has me pining right now for a pumpkin spice latte. What’s really hot? The details like the cool lacing, zipper detail and faux shearling cuff. All of the qualities I love in a fall bootie – swoon.
The Cole Haan Michelle Shearling boot ($298) also has the on-trend wedge, and guess what? It has Nike Air technology for added comfort! The buckles are super-cute, and you can fold the shearling cuff down or leave it up for those really cold winter days!
And don’t forget the Vince Camuto Fabi riding boot ($198). These leather round-toe stunners are sure to keep your feet cozy-as-can-be with a faux fur lining, chic gold buckles and a rich brown hue to go with anything. Like that warm cup of hot cocoa?

So find your inner park ranger and snag yourself a pair for fall. With heavily textured rubber soles, and secure laces/buckles, you won’t have to worry about slipping in the rain like you would with an ordinary stiletto! And with discounts like these, you can afford to make your father proud.

Fall Fashion isn’t only about the clothes, shoes, and handbags you wear – we’ve got to think about beauty trends too! Ashley from Le Rouge Stylo is here to share a few hot nail colors to look out for this season. Be sure to check out her blog about the pursuit of a fashionable life!
That warm, summer breeze is growing cooler, and the bright green leaves are starting to turn orange, yellow and red. Fall has arrived!
While you’re swapping your sundresses for sweaters, put away the punchy pink and coral nail shades of summer and reach for these hot autumn polishes:
Black, Gray and Greige
Black and gray tips have been a nail style standard for several seasons now, and don’t expect that to change this fall. The newest player at the table is greige, which is a combo of gray and beige. It’s minimalist chic and will look amazing paired with your cozy fall clothes. There are a wide variety of greiges to choose from– for more of a putty color, there’s OPI’s Over the Taupe. And if you’re looking to hit the slate side of things, swipe on Kelly by Zoya.
Metallic and Glitter
One of the biggest trends for polish this fall is adding a little sparkle. Whether a subtle shimmer or flecked with glitter, these polishes dress up a manicure. My favorites are the super fun silver-hued Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous by OPI and the deep royal purple of China Glaze’s First Class Ticket. Or check out the MAC F/W 2010 to get your sparkle fix!
The military trend is smoking for fall, from structured jackets to lace-up boots. This trend continues with military-esque polish shades. Salute your sergeant with colors from the olive green of Essie’s Sew Psyched to the deep blue of Russian Navy by OPI.
Now is the perfect time to bring out the shades of the season– think deep browns (like Essie’s Little Brown Dress), fiery cherry reds (like Zoya’s Carrie Ann), and cranberry reds (like Essie’s Limited Addiction).

There’s no denying that boots are the go-to shoe for fall and winter. This does not mean your options are limited, though! Keri from A Diva State of Mind is here to break down the boot trend for us and show us a few different styles. Be sure to check out her lifestyle blog focusing on fashion, entertainment and relationships!
One thing I do love about fall is boots! If you’re tired of wearing the same old leather boots, spice it up with over the knee boots, lace-up boots, and peep toe booties! These boots will add a little character and edginess to your look.
Over The Knee Boots
Over the knee boots are my new obsession. I must find a pair this season to rock with my new fur vest! Nothing screams sexy and fierce fashionista more than an over the knee boots!
You can’t go wrong with lace-up boots. They are a nice change to classic leather and suede boots, adding a little flair.
Nine West Casilda boot
Peep Toe Booties
Peep toe booties were on the fashion scene last year and stayed around this year. They are great to wear during the transition from summer to fall and winter to spring.
Alexander McQueen Faithful bootie
Pair over the knee boots and lace-up boots with leggings, skinny jeans and skirts/dresses. Peep-toe booties look great with skinny jeans and skirts/dresses. You can find all three styles at ANY retailer that sells boots. Steve Madden and Macy’s are great stores to shop for boots because they often have promotions. (Macy’s coupons every weekend and Steve Madden is notorious for 10-20% off purchases).

Salemail been particularly exciting lately? At Shop It To Me, we’ve been busy the past few weeks adding a slew of new retailers. You may have seen we recently added J. Crew’s sister site Madewell, Swedish sensation Acne and winter outpost Moosejaw. Now we’re excited to announce our latest additions, All Saints and Lacoste.
If you already have these brands selected, get ready for even more sales – straight from their stand-alone online stores.
If you haven’t, now is the time to add them.
Lacoste: Where would polo shirts be without this classic, upscale label? The brand has been around since 1933 and is the go-to choice for crisp, high-end shirts and shoes.
All Saints: United Kingdom-based All Saints brings laid-back British style across the pond the to the US too. We love their casual-luxe jackets and slouchy basics.
Make sure to add Lacoste and All Saints as brands so you don’t miss out on their sales. Just log in to your account, click Edit Brands, and make sure you’re on the All Brands tab to find them.
