In Yahoo’s video series “Secrets To Your Success”, Kathryn Eisman talks with trailblazing women and imparts their working wisdom to women like you.
In this week’s episode, Kathryn jets to Hawaii to interview Cindy Sakai and Sarah Kalicki Nakamura, certified Dream coaches, who help companies create more profitable, efficient and enjoyable workplaces. Kathryn gets the scoop on the qualities all good bosses have and on creating a company culture that encourages trust and inspires people to use their gifts in innovative ways.
To keep it chic in the Honolulu heat, Kathryn opted for a sleeveless neon dress from Nanette Lepore (now sold out) and nude platform heels from Sergio Rossi.
To succeed with this look, we serve up these similar styles:

It was certainly a star-studded affair when Brooklyn Decker hit the red carpet last night with co-stars Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Banks and Anna Kendrick for the premiere of “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

We asked Annie for the inside story on the amazing Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 gown that she selected for the final night of Brooklyn’s whirlwind series of events.
Annie and Brooklyn began collaborating in March to plan the tour wardrobe. They agreed that they wanted something gorgeous and girly for “What to Expect.” Both prefer bright colors on the red carpet – Annie says it sets off Brooklyn’s all-American blonde look — and rarely do black.
The drop-waist Giambattista Valli was actually one of the first dresses Annie selected for the tour, but she and Brooklyn loved it so much, they decided to save it for last. Its lemony yellow is one of Annie’s favorite colors for Brooklyn, because it goes so well with her skin tone. (Brooklyn really likes it, too!)
In fact, Annie loves the new yellow this season because it’s refreshing and youthful. But she cautions that it’s tricky to do color combinations with yellow, so it’s best to keep accessories and other pieces neutral.
Here are some of her fave yellow items that you can easily snap up on Shop It To Me right now.

We’re excited to introduce the newest member of our Shop It To Me team — Caitlin! As our marketing intern (and childhood friend of Ilana, our office manager), she’s rapidly filling her days with exciting marketing projects, learning the ropes around our super-cool HQ and keeping up with our collectively odd sense of humor (or perhaps she’s just being polite). Get to know her more…
What are some items you keep on your desk at work that keep you sane during the day?
My planner. It helps me keep track of all the different things I have going on. Whether it be work or social commitments, it gives me one place to organize it all and not worry about forgetting anything.
If you could have one time-saving super power, what would it be and why?
Insta-cleaning. I love when things are neat and organized but I find that when I’m busy I rarely have the time to clean as thoroughly as I would like. If I could snap my fingers and have things instantly organized my life would be amazing!
What’s your favorite recent purchase?
My green Lacoste Melbourne sunglasses. When I bought my Ray Ban Aviators I was a die hard fan, but these shades have become my new staple. I like that they’re more original than the classic aviators and go with almost anything.
Do you have any tricks when it comes to making your commute less painful?
Good music. I try to update my iTunes pretty frequently so that I always have new music to get me excited for the day.

Yahoo’s new series “Secrets To Your Success” takes you on intimate conversations with women that have paved the way in their careers. The lovely Kathryn Eisman gets up close and personal with a variety of talented individuals.
In this week’s interview, Kathryn met with trailblazer Sue Falsone, head athletic trainer for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Falsone is the first woman to lead athletic training for a Major League Baseball team.
Who says visiting a baseball stadium can’t be a chic moment?!
To assemble the perfect uniform, Kathryn turned to Shop It To Me, her personal assistant for shopping (read: all of the pieces she’s wearing were on sale in her sizes from her favorite designers!).
For a look that’s as appropriate at the office as it is the ballpark, Kathryn says, “Combine earthy tones with pops of soft pastel colors.” She also recommends sporting pieces with subtle retro details like a scalloped trouser cuff, fringe neck tie and two-tone chunky heels.
(All styles shown below found via Shop It To Me.)

On Kathryn – Colored Pants: Rachel Roy Tropical Mandarin Cropped Pants $208.60)

We followed Annie (or at least tried to!) as she flew back and forth across town and ran from pillar to post prepping Brooklyn for the red carpet event of the year.
Annie actually started working with Brooklyn and designer Tory Burch months ago to collaborate on the perfect dress for the occasion. This included several in-person meetings about cut, fabric and color, among other details. That was followed by multiple fittings of the exquisite knife-pleated, slate blue silk tulle and crepe gown – with a final fitting on Saturday to choose Brooklyn’s jewelry, shoes and clutch so everything would be ready for Monday evening.
Here’s how Annie’s Monday (day of the Met Ball) unfolded:
(10:00 am) Up until Monday morning Annie had only seen a sketch of a dress another celeb friend had chosen. So, she was up early to meet that star at her hotel for a fitting. It was clear alterations were needed, so a tailor was called in while Annie and her client reviewed jewelry and accessories.
Accessories selections for Brooklyn Decker
(2:00 pm) With the tailor off to alter the gown, Annie headed to Brooklyn’s to get her hair and makeup started. (Thank goodness for that Saturday fitting!)
(3:30 pm) She then rushed back to the first friend’s when the dress was ready for a final fitting and make decisions on jewelry, shoes (which were too big and needed padding) and a clutch.
(5:00 pm) With everything finalized, Annie left her friend in the hands of a capable assistant and dashed back to Brooklyn’s for finishing touches, then accompanied Brooklyn to Tory Burch’s home for pre-event cocktails. Among the very intimate crowd were Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Liya Kabede, Kanye West, Rick Ross and Stefano Tonchi. When everyone else headed to the Met, our exhausted Annie returned to her office and used any remaining adrenaline to meet friends for dinner at Lure Fish Bar in Soho.
Brooklyn Decker, Annie Ladino, and Esther Song (Tory Burch PR)
(10:00 pm) Too tired for the after-party, Annie headed home and crashed on her couch.
(The aftermath) As Annie and her assistants worked on returns Tuesday/Wednesday, she shared her thoughts on the evening’s fashions, pointing to Lana del Ray in Joseph Altuzarra, Gwyneth Paltrow in Prada and Anna Wintour, also in Prada, as some of her faves. She also went crazy for Lily Collins, Sarah Jessica Parker and Brit Marling in Valentino.
Annie told us: “What I love about the Met Ball is that people go all out; they take a lot of risks. It’s so different from the Oscars.”

With Mother’s Day fast approaching, Shop It To Me wanted to provide you a little extra personal shopping assistance–not just by directing you to great prices, but with spot-on gift ideas for all the moms in your lives.
We asked our data scientists to reveal the most-coveted brands –by age group– among our members. They uncovered some helpful hints so you can hone in on a gift your mom, wife or grandmother is sure to love. Here’s what we know that women really want:
Nine West made it into the top five most requested brand for every age group (except the under 20s). In fact, it was the #1 most selected among 30-, 40- and 50-something women…so, a nice pair of summer sandals or a colorful bag (or both!) are great options that will please any mom in your life.
Note to husbands and boyfriends: stereotype or not, lingerie really is an appreciated gift! Victoria’s Secret came in second overall – scoring in the top five for every age group except 60-plus. (So, maybe skip this one for Grandma or Mother-in-Law!)
If you’re shopping for a wife or mom in her 50s or 60s and up, you can’t go wrong with something from Jones New York, Liz Claiborne or Ralph Lauren. They made the top four for our members of both decades. If you are shopping for a younger mom (especially in her 20s or 30s), think Banana Republic, J. Crew or BCBG, all of which fell in the top 10 for women 40 and under.
And while they didn’t make the top-five list of the brands women are buying for themselves, a little something from J. Crew, LOFT, Ann Taylor, Michael Kors, Anne Klein, Ellen Tracy, DKNY, Calvin Klein, are also safe bets.
Methodology: Shop It To Me, a free personal assistant for shopping, looked at the style preferences of female members in six different age groups, and compared the top 50 most popularly-selected brands for each age group (see the top 10 here). Note: The brands most members select are from the Shop It To Me “featured brands” list, which is part of the sign-up process. Even though members have 800+ brands to choose from, most users choose from this limited list of 60 brands.
